the greatest game ever concocted by the fine folks at nintendo will not die. herein lies proof that you don't need retarded "owner modes" or even flashy graphics to make something memorable. it's unlikely that something will come along nowadays that reaches the replayability this game achieved.

if you were a boy in america when this game came out and fell between the ages of 8-13, and you didn't get a chub upon playing it for the first time, chances are you didn't have many friends. and true, some of us were still balls into the game and yet didn't have many friends to show for it either. but we had a couple friends, and we could share tecmo super bowl. fifteen years later and i can say the same thing.

• 12/16/2006 - a few weeks ago i finished running the table with the 1991 miami dolphins. then i forgot about it. then i played a couple games of madden 97 on genesis. then, tonight, i finally got around to putting the stats up!
  
• 10/08/2006 - the raiders season is complete! randy moss is mvp for the 14-2 team who were definitely not as good as their record may lead you to believe.
  
• 09/18/2006 - uploaded this website, plan on using woeful oakland raiders for my first 2006-2007 season. let's see if they're as bad as reality suggests. stay tuned...
