links
You may or may not have already seen these sites through personal google searches,
but these are the JRC-approved links to info on all things Tecmo. As you probably notice,
there aren't very many. How surprising. In no particular order:
- Tecmo
Super Bowl
Forum
- Normally I wouldn't recommend a forum, but in this case I'll make an exception. This board is just overflowing with Tecmo info thanks to the biggest losers on the internet. Seriously, they make me look like the Fonz. But they know their Tecmo, so if you were looking for info you'd do well to go here. This is also the place to go if you want to play Tecmo with updated rosters on your CPU. Lots of good stuff to be found if you don't mind having to ignore some complete 'tards.
- A
non-descript
Tecmo Page
- This was one of the first sites I frequented when I first started looking TSB up on the 'net. It was also the first place I found not only Roms with updated rosters, but Roms completely remade so you could play college football on the game. The updates are sporadic nowadays it seems, but there's some good stuff in there.
- Tecmo
Movies
- The videos are of the SNES version, but it's the only site I've seen with .mov's of people playing the game. Not much else of worth really, but for the 2 or 3 of you who've never seen the game played, this could be a decent primer.
- Super
ugly but super
funny Tecmo
worship
- The guy has no design skills, but if your brain allows you to wander through the wilderness there's some great reading material here. Written purely from a fan's perspective (unlike some of the annoyingly serious fans you can find too easily elsewhere), this guy breaks the game down with both wisdom AND wit.
- Pro
Football Reference
- As far as I know this page never references TSB, but it's a great reference tool for NFL history and stats. Fast-loading site with minimal bells and whistles, so it's much easier to navigate around than on, say, ESPN's NFL site of NFL.com itself.
If you know of any deserving sites or have your own (deserving) site that should be added to this list, feel free to use my contact form to let me know. It's free of charge, though I can't guarantee I'll agree with your idea of "deserving."
